I’m Paul Dennison, a published author and poet. I’m not a musician and don’t pretend to be one. My work always begins with my own experiences, thoughts and emotions, which I turn into rhyming poetry.
Where AI comes in
AI plays no part in creating my books, poems or lyrics. Only after a poem is completely written do I use AI-assisted tools to explore how it might sound as a song. The technology helps with the music, arrangement and vocals, allowing a poem that began on the page to find another voice.
The meaning, story, humour and emotion all come from the original poem. Sometimes I adapt my own words to help the rhythm or tempo, just as any lyric may need shaping when it becomes a song.
Why I use it
Exploring music has opened a new creative road for Life in Rhyme. It supports my wellbeing, gives me tremendous enjoyment and helps me share the poems with people who may connect more easily with a song than a page.
What I am—and am not—claiming
- I am the writer of every poem and lyric.
- I openly identify the music and vocals as AI-assisted.
- I do not claim to be the singer, instrumentalist or a traditional music producer.
- I do not want to replace musicians or diminish their talent.
- I would genuinely welcome real singers, musicians or choirs who wanted to perform the work.
Life in Rhyme is about experimenting honestly, sharing creativity and turning lived experience into something that might help another person feel understood.
